April 2009 Winner - "The Best of the Rest"

In the "Best of the Rest" category, William Doyle of Sumrise Beach, Mossouri won with his restored '76 KW W900. The truck, called "Old School", features a 550 HP 1693 engine and a freshly remodeled interior. Doyle discovered the old truck sitting in a barn nearby and convinced to owner to trade him for his '64 Chrysler. The following day, Doyle already began tearing down the old truck, which had previously sat in a barn for 10 years. Once a flatbed-pulling over-the-road truck, Doyle converted the KW into a dumptruck. Now he uses it to haul dirt and gravel all over the Ozarks. Doyle and his wife did all of the work on the truck themselves. Being one of Doyle's favorite pastimes, "Old School" is always a work in progress.
